Three monumental glass pyramids we manufactured for the Moody Gardens Rainforest Conservatory, enclosing both a rainforest and an aquarium. The project also included skylights at the adjacent hotel and convention center in a five phase project. The Conservatory lies on Galveston Island in a hurricane-prone section of the Gulf of Mexico. To minimize the effects of weather, the project features a custom system slotted connections that allow the pyramids to twist and move in hurricane force winds. | |
